Career and Academic Opportunities

A Double Owl Pathway from a B.S. in Mathematics to an M.S. in Systems Engineering helps you turn strong analytical thinking into real-world problem solving. You’ll build a deep foundation in logic, modeling, statistics and quantitative reasoning, then apply those skills to designing, improving and managing complex systems. This pathway is a strong fit for students interested in engineering, technology, operations, logistics, analytics, research or project management — giving you the tools to solve complicated problems, make smarter decisions and lead across industries that depend on both precision and big-picture thinking.

Pathway of Study

Suggested Timeline

We encourage students to apply to the Double Owl Pathway during the semester in which they will complete 60 hours of undergraduate study. This is typically in the fall or spring of the junior year. Application in or prior to the spring is highly recommended so that the student is ready to begin taking double counted courses that are offered in the fall.
