This distinguished group of dedicated students strengthens relationships with alumni, donors, and university leadership through high-impact events and initiatives, including:

PPSA Benefits

President's Parliament Scholar Ambassadors will have multiple opportunities to:

  • Strengthen professional development skills.
  • Network and build relationships with campus leadership, alumni, donors, and community leaders.
  • Serve as influential student speakers and liaisons for KSU.
  • Utilize the Division of University Advancement's resources and relationships to strengthen your resume and professional experience.

Members of the President's Parliament Scholar Ambassador group also benefit from academic enrichment through a KSU renewable scholarship. The PPSA Scholarship pays out $2,500 per semester for the fall and spring semesters, totaling $5,000 per year.

PPSA Requirements

A President's Parliament Scholar Ambassador must be pursuing an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.30 and have attended KSU for one full academic year (fall and spring).

Each academic year, a PPSA will be responsible for:

  • Attending PPSA Training Weekend.
  • Assisting with signature events, such as KSU Foundation Board of Trustees meetings, presidential events, Homecoming, Commencement, comprehensive campaign events, President's Parliament donor events, and the Annual President's Parliament Scholar Ambassadors Luncheon.
  • Assisting with small-scale events, including stewardship initiatives and programs for the Office of Alumni and Constituent Engagement.
  • Monthly group check-ins with program advisors.
  • Supplemental training via monthly in-services.

PPSA applications open in the Spring semester for the following academic year.
