Some excellent sources of data available to you can include:

- Government and Organization Data: data collected by a particular government agency, company, or non-profit may be available on their website.
- Research data repositories: Platforms such as , data.gov, curate collections of datasets from various sources.

A data management plan (DMP) is a formal document that outlines how data will be handled
during and after a project. Many funding agencies, especially government sources,
require a DMP as part of their application processes. Your Data Services Librarian
can help you develop your DMP and answer questions.

Storing and Sharing Data
KSU's Institutional Repository: At Kennesaw State, you can also store and share your data in the Institutional Repository,
. This platform collects, archives, and disseminates the intellectual and creative output of KSU’s faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Within the Institutional Repository, you’ll find a dedicated submission form and section for

Open Data and FAIR Data Principles
Are you interested in making your research data openly available? If so, the Data
Services Librarian can help! Consider Open Data and FAIR (Findability, Accessibility,
Interoperability, and Reuse) Data Principles when publishing your research. We can
assist with crafting a Data Availability Statement, select an appropriate license
for your data, and give your dataset a DOI (if deposited in the ).
