KSU president joins diverse team of policy makers

As a member of the Committee, Whitten will work to support the Association’s academic mission through the management of Division I policy, eligibility standards and the NCAA Division I Academic Performance Program. The Committee is composed of university presidents, a provost, faculty athletics representatives, directors of athletics, senior woman administrators, conference administrators and a student-athlete.
The NCAA is a membership-driven association and is governed by more than 150 committees with almost 1,500 committee members from NCAA institutions and conferences. The Division I Committee on Academics’ central purpose is to serve as the division’s primary authority on academic matters.
Whitten’s term on the Committee formally began September 1.
