Let's Collaborate

What We Provide

Instructional Support

The University Libraries are dedicated to partnering with you to enhance your teaching and promote student success. Through collaborative efforts, we provide a wide range of tailored instructional services designed to enrich your course content and create impactful, meaningful learning experiences for your students. Together, we can empower students to achieve their academic and professional goals.

Our Collegiate Librarian Program connects each KSU college with a dedicated librarian who serves as the primary point of contact for library instruction, engagement, outreach, and collaboration. The Collegiate Librarians are committed to making the research process intuitive and empowering for your students, equipping them with the skills and confidence to navigate the vast array of information available to them.

Library Orientations

The Library Online Orientation Program (LOOP) is a live-35 minute introduction to the KSU Libraries that take place during your regularly scheduled class meeting via MS Teams in August and September of each academic year. All you need to do is log in as the instructor and project the meeting for your class to see and hear. Students interact via their own devices and will learn about much that the KSU Libraries have to offer.

At present we are providing LOOP sessions for courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Math & Science.

The Library Experience Asynchronous Program (LEAP) is a series of four mini-modules that can be easily embedded in your D2L course and can even be added as part of a course template. Students will receive an orientation completion certificate to document their participation. Additional asynchronous modules are also available.

Collaborative Student Success Programming

The KSU Libraries are integral partners in fostering student success, working closely with KSU’s academic support units and student organizations to deliver dynamic, collaborative programming across both campuses. The Educational Outreach Librarian, Leslie Drost, plays a key role in supporting the Core IMPACTS curriculum, collaborating with the Writing Center, Student Success Programs, New Student Programs, and more. These partnerships empower students to build essential skills for life, learning, and their future careers. Through innovative events and initiatives, KSU Libraries strive to cultivate a community of information-literate students prepared to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Student-Centered Events

KSU Libraries are proud to offer engaging, student-centered events that foster learning and collaboration. We’ve hosted immersive escape rooms tailored to first-year and transfer students, as well as STEM-themed escape rooms designed specifically for STEM majors. Our participation in all new student orientations ensures every student starts their academic journey with the support they need. Additionally, our Writing Sprint, in partnership with the Writing Center, provides a one-stop resource for students seeking research and writing assistance in a supportive, collaborative environment.

We’re always eager to explore new partnerships with KSU’s academic support units to create innovative programs that meet the diverse needs of our student community. If you’re interested in collaborating with us, we’d love to hear from you—let’s work together to empower KSU students!

Please contact Leslie Drost, Educational Outreach Librarian to start a collaboration.
