'Dynamic Duo' impact exercise science through undergraduate research at Kennesaw State

Ƶ senior Kaden Buford likes being hands-on with exercise science, immersing in a clinical environment and helping people heal from injuries. Her classmate Kayla Anderson, on the other hand, prefers research, delving into the scientific “why” using data, experiments, and observation. Together, they form a formidable team of exercise science majors studying effective measures of muscle function and supporting each other both in and out of the lab. Recently, they worked together on three research projects, and Anderson presented her findings at the spring Symposium of Student Scholars.

Equipped with robust internship experiences, the leaders of the Ƶ Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) are full steam ahead into their careers after they graduate this week with Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degrees. SMIF CEO Matthew Brown and his second-in-command, COO Hannah Hunt, have landed jobs with competitive companies. Brown is headed to Colony Bank in Savannah, Georgia, for a two-year rotational analyst program that will allow him to see all sides of the banking operation. Hunt, meanwhile, will join JPMorgan Chase & Co. in its Atlanta office as an analyst.

Ƶstudent, assistant principal sharpens educational leadership skills through doctoral program

Work didn’t end for Jennifer Wilson after the last bell rang at Red Top Middle School in Emerson, Georgia. While enrolled in the educational leadership doctoral program at Ƶ, the full-time assistant principal and mother of two had research papers and discussion posts to write, classes to take. Wilson and her husband took turns cooking dinner for their daughters, and she attended their golf matches and tennis tournaments when she could. Graduating this May, Wilson will be the first in her family to have earned a doctorate.

Master's in robotics systems fulfills Ƶonline student's goal

Matt Eaton had to convince himself that he could be what he wanted to be – an engineer specializing in robotics. On May 8, Eaton – his self-doubts long removed – is graduating with an engineering degree, a Master of Intelligent Robotic Systems from Ƶ’s Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology.

Honors biology student makes most of KSU experience

Some days it’s pre-dawn dark when Maya Patel arrives on campus, and it’s post-dusk dark when she heads home. The Ƶ senior takes a full course load, belongs to several organizations, serves in multiple leadership roles, conducts research and carries a 4.0 grade-point average in biology. She will graduate this week having packed four years of college life into just three years and having lost none of her enthusiasm.
